Initiatives for Smart Transportation Innovation Program
We are developing a novel collaborative data sharing based approach for safer, more efficient and eco-friendly commutes. Real-time streaming data from multiple participants - vehicles, pedestrians, smart street IoTs (like smart traffic lights and pedestrian crossings) and EV charging stations - when aggregated, fused and analyzed can provide an accurate, complete and dynamic road situational awareness to all the road participants, leading to applications enabling the next generation of safe and sustainable mobility solutions. Across the various projects, we are using innovative technologies to create a collaborative data sharing, data fusion and machine vision/learning platform as well as novel computing and communication architectures and testbed to support the collaborative platform.
